POLICY FOCUS

HOUSING

Enact a new law: No one should pay more than 30% of their income in housing plus utilities!

HEALTH

Equitable healthcare: Decrease DC’s 20-year life expectancy disparity based on zip code. Reduce DC Black maternal mortality rate—the highest in our country.

PUBLIC SAFETY

Art of Root Cause: Systematically identify solutions to address the root causes and breakdown of crime & violence by co-producing solutions with the community versus repeating the existing reactionary policies.

NO REPRESENTATION. NO FEDERAL TAXES.

  1. Every non-voting Delegate represents a territory exempt from federal income taxes
  2. The root causes of violence & crime must be addressed
  3. No one should pay more than 30% (incl utilities) for housing
  4. Cap property taxes to create a retention plan for longtime residents & small biz
  5. If Israel has Free Healthcare & subsidized college education & housing USA can too, starting with DC
  6. Every school should be funded equitably with a transformative curriculum
  7. DC Teachers should be the highest paid in the nation
  8. DC Police should require DC residency
